STARKVILLE, Miss.—ÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø Assistant Police Chief Brian Locke, second from left, recently congratulated ÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÍøPD officers Tyler Hawkins, left, Deveair Salter, and William Bowling on their graduation from the North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Academy, an 11-week program which instructs new police recruits in areas such as defense tactics, firearms, emergency vehicle and patrol operations, investigative procedures and more.

The three also brought home several awards, with Bowling receiving the Top Cop, Physical Fitness and Platoon Awards; Hawkins, the Academic Award; and Salter, the Squad Award.
